Reversed deposits and negative balances

What happens if a deposit is reversed?

If your bank reverses a deposit, the same amount will be deducted from your XS account balance.

 

What happens if I have already used the funds?

If you have spent part or all of the deposited funds and your balance is not enough to cover the reversal:

• Your account may go into a negative balance
• You will need to repay the outstanding amount

 

Example of a reversed deposit

• Deposit: $20
• Available balance at reversal: $8.67

After the reversal:

• New balance: -$11.33

 

What do I need to do if my balance is negative?

You must repay any negative balance before you can continue using your account normally.
