General questions

Yes, PokerStars.fr has a license from ANJ.

All the details about our privacy policy are available here.

Players must be residents of France, or a member of a French territory, to play at PokerStars.fr.

For these purposes, French territories are defined as follows: French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Wallis & Futuna Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, New Caledonia.

If you intend to play at PokerStars.fr, you will have to validate your preregistered details. If you are travelling abroad for a limited time (for example, on holiday) you may continue to play at PokerStars.fr, unless the country from which you are playing operates a separate PokerStars licence.

Players must be residents of France, or a member of a French territory (as defined above), to play at PokerStars.fr. If you move away from France or a French territory, you will no longer be able to play at PokerStars.fr. In these cases, please visit our Help Center to find the best way to contact us.

Verification

You will have to enter your complete IBAN number without spaces. Please make sure that all letters are in upper-case.

The only way to enter it correctly is in the following format: FR1234567890123456789012345.

You have 30 days from your first deposit to send the documents needed (Government ID like driving license, passport or country card). If acceptable documents are not received within 30 days, your account will automatically be suspended. If the documents are not received within 30 days after the suspension, your account will automatically be closed.

Your account will be suspended 30 days after the first deposit. After 60 days (a period of 30 days after the suspension), the account will be closed.

The day it is generated by our system, we send you the Account Validation Code (AVC) by mail. Once it is sent, players have 90 days to enter the AVC, which will complete the validation of their account. If a valid AVC is not entered during the time specified, your PokerStars.fr account will automatically be closed.

According to the terms of our license, the account validation code (AVC) can only be sent by postal mail. This allows us to verify your postal address. The goal is to validate the postal address of a player, not his or her email address.

After validation of an account, if a player changes the registered bank account, they must submit a verification document showing the new bank account (RIB or bank statement). A player must simply send another copy of their piece of identification if his or her name changes (for example in case of marriage).

The AVC will no longer be valid if you have changed your registered mailing address. Please use the AVC that will be sent to your new mailing address.

Please note you have 42 days to enter an AVC once the first one has been generated and mailed to you. We will not reset the period if a new AVC is generated. After that period we will close your account if this has not been done.

No.

Yes, according to our license agreement, you must enter your date of birth each time you connect to PokerStars.fr.

Yes, there is important verification information on the back of identity cards. We can only verify a legible copy of the front and back of identification of a player. For passports and driver's licenses, we do not need a copy of the back.

No, entry of the AVC we send by mail is the only condition for validating the address entered for your account.

Your full name, your date of birth, your postal address, as well as your banking information must ALL be the same.

To obtain your refund, you must send us the documents required (piece of identification and bank statement/RIB).

To send the documents needed visit our Help Center and find the best way to contact us. The documents must be in JPEG format, but we also accept PDF or DOC formats. Please be sure that the size of the file is no greater than 5 MB.

The first step consists of validating you email address to finalize account creation. This way your account will be 'linked' to your email address, which enables us to ensure each player has their own account and thus minimize risks of fraud or duplicate accounts. The AVC (or Account Validation Code) is a legal requirement.
Once you have completed the account registering process by sending us a photographic ID, we can verify your account to make it secure. Please note that you will not be able to withdraw until you have complied with this procedure.

Payments

You can only make withdrawals to the bank account you registered previously.

You can fund your PokerStars.fr account using any methods of payment listed here.

No. You will be able to make your withdrawal AFTER validating your account. To do this, you will have to enter the Account Validation Code (AVC) we will send you by postal mail.
