These Specific Sports Rules form part of and should be read alongside the Sportsbook Rules

Tennis

The following rules include reasons for voiding bets.

General

Bets will be settled on the results and statistics provided by the relevant tournament's governing body.

If there is a change in the number of sets (or games per set) to be played, then: (a) match winner bets (i.e. bets placed on the winner of a given match excluding any Handicap bets) and ‘to win first set’ bets will stand (except where the number of sets is reduced to 1, in which case such bets will be void); and (b) bets on any other markets will be void.

If a change to any of the following occurs, all bets will stand:

  • a change in court type (indoor to outdoor or vice versa);
  • a change of playing surface (either before or during a match);
  • a change of venue; and
  • a change to the scheduling which affects the time or date of a match.

If there is a tie in a Head-to-Head market, both selections will be void. In a market where there are more than 2 selections and the 'draw' is not an option, normal Dead Heat rules apply.

In the event of penalty points or games, bets will be settled in accordance with the updated score.

If a bet is placed after the relevant result or outcome is known, then the bet will be void.

Abandonments, Cancellations and Postponements

A tournament must be completed in full for bets on the outcome to stand.

If a match does not take place or if a player is given a walkover, bets on the match will be void.

Non-Runners, Withdrawals and Disqualifications

If a player or pairing retires or is disqualified in an International Tennis Federation (‘ITF’), Universal Tennis Rating (‘UTR’) or exhibition match, all match winner bets on such markets (as available on the Website from time to time) will be void regardless of what stage of the match the retirement or disqualification occurs.

For all other competitions, if the retirement or disqualification occurs prior to the conclusion of the first set, all match winner bets will be void. If the retirement or disqualification occurs following the conclusion of the first set, the player or pairing progressing to the next round (or winning the tournament in the case of a final) will, for the purposes of any match winner bets, be deemed the winner and match winner bets placed on the retired or disqualified player or pairing will be void.

Bets on any other markets, for all competitions, will be void regardless of whether the retirement or disqualification occurs during or following the first set, except for those on markets that have been unconditionally determined.

If a player, pairing, or team does not participate in a tournament, all bets involving that player, pairing or team will be void. We will where appropriate apply a Non-Runner Deduction to any winnings from bets on the event’s remaining participants.

Tie-Breaks

For the purposes of ’total games’ and Handicap-related markets, a tie-break is counted as 1 game. Forfeited points or games will count for final settlement purposes.

In some competitions, matches that reach 1 set all are decided by a champions tie-break. In this case, the champions tie-break will be considered to be the third set.

If, for a match involving a champions tie-break, we accept in Error any bets on the winner of a specified game in the final set, the total number of games in such set, or Handicap markets relating to such set (or similar), the bets in question will be void.

A champions tie-break will not count towards any ’will there be a tie-break?’ markets and will not be treated as a tie-break for any markets involving the occurrence of a number of tie-breaks.

Game or Point Related Markets

If a game is not completed all bets on the game will be void, except any ’game to deuce’ bets where the result has already been unconditionally determined.

If the wrong player has been set as the server for any individual game (current or next game), bets on the outcome of that specific game will be void, regardless of the result.

Set X, Game X, Point X Winner Markets

Bets on the specified set, game or point will be void if that set, game or point is not completed.

Games Margin Markets

Bets will be settled on the absolute difference in total games won by one player compared to the total games won by the opposing player. For example, if player A wins 17 games and player B wins 19 games during the match, the market will be settled based on the absolute difference (which is 2).

Set X, Game X Correct Score Markets

Bets on the specified set or game will be void if that set or game is not completed.

Aces and Double Fault Markets

The match must be completed for bets to stand on these markets, except in the case of unconditionally determined markets (for example, 'first ace’ or ’first double fault’), which will be settled on their result. Bets will be settled on the basis of official scoring providers or official tournament websites. If there are any discrepancies between data of official scoring providers and that of tournament websites, the data of official scoring providers will take precedence.

Set X Most Aces Markets

Bets will be void if both players have the same amount of aces each at the end of the set, or the specified set is never played.

Set X Total Aces Markets

Bets on the specified number of aces in the specified set will be void if that number is equal to the combined number of aces scored by both players at the end of the set.

Total Aces Markets

Bets will be void on the selection that contains the number exactly equal to the total number of aces in the match.

Player with Most Aces Markets

Bets will be void if there are 2 or more players tied for the most aces.

Ace Number X Markets

Bets will be void on the specified ace number if that number is never achieved.

Handicap and Totals Markets

If a Handicap is attributed to an entire market (for example, the market is ‘set handicap -1.5 sets’) and there is no Handicap attributed to any individual selection within that market, the relevant Handicap will be applied to each first named selection. For example, if a market is titled ‘set handicap -1.5 sets for Medvedev-Thiem’, if the final score of the match is ‘Medvedev 3 sets, Thiem 2 sets’, that selection will be settled as if the final score had been ‘Medvedev 1.5 sets, Thiem 2 sets’ (meaning any bets on Medvedev will be settled as losing bets and any bets on Thiem will be settled as winning bets).

Unless otherwise stated in the name/heading of a market or selection, totals and handicaps apply to the overall match (rather than to sets or games).

End of Year Grand Slam Specials Markets

The Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open are each deemed a ‘Grand Slam’.

All bets placed on this market are for the singles event of each Grand Slam. All bets will stand if a player does not compete or has retired or been disqualified before or during any Grand Slam.

All Grand Slams must be played within that respective year. If a Grand Slam is postponed or cancelled then all bets will be void, unless the result has already been unconditionally determined.

End of Year Rankings Specials Markets

All bets will be settled in accordance with official rankings from ATP/WTA on December 31 of each year.

Player Specials Markets

Unless otherwise stated, all bets placed are for the singles event of the tournament.

If a tournament is postponed to the following year(s) or cancelled, bets will be void.

Bets will be settled in accordance with the official ATP/WTA and ITF websites.
